Model Making - The Door

Session No. 2

This was our second model making workshop. We had another exciting task in front of us - create multi layered door!

To begin with with we glued printout onto the black and pink card. After that I carefully started cutting out inner rectangles. That day I learned that if I put ruler on the detail that I want to protect - there's less chance to cut into that! Later on when door itself was ready, it was challenging to find the side for hinge. I believe I'll get better at it once I start to create more models! At the end I covered the door, frame and wall with PVA glue so that it's uniform for future painting.
