Session No. 4

This time in our workshop we learned how to create cobblestone and brick, it's texture and how to paint it.

We started by applying Fine Surface Filler onto card, I had fun trying to achieve different textures. After it had dried, we glued our cobblestone and brick printouts onto the other side of the cards. Following printed layouts, I carefully cut all the small bricks out. Gluing process could begin! When I started painting my miniatures I ran into issue that template and glue stick layer was not allowing bricks to securely stay on the 'wall', they were moving around or falling off completely. So in my future projects I might draw my textures by pencil rather than glue printouts on top.

As for painting, we used two two techniques - dry brushing to accentuate already existing texture and adding PVA glue on top to give shine and wet-like texture.
