Mixed Materials - Artefact

Session No. 5

For my Skills Passport artefact I chose to finish chest armour that I already made during plastazote session.

My goal is to render chest piece that has realistic texture and colour.

Step 1. Come up with design. During this stage I looked through Pinterest for inspiration and sketched details.

Step 2. Smooth neck, arm and chest openings as well as even out joint areas. To achieve that I used retractable knife and coarse grit sandpaper. After sandpaper material was left quite fuzzy, to smooth it out I used heat gun.

Step 3. Engrave my design by using soldering iron.
