Mixed Materials - Worbla

Session No. 3

This Monday we had a chance to work with new material - Worbla. It's a non-toxic thermoplastic made from renewable natural raw materials. To shape it we used heat guns.

This time I wanted to create head piece. It was a bit tricky to work with this material as it would 'unstick' sometimes so then I needed to go back again with heat gun and that would change materials appeared making it 'less neat'. As the last step for that day I painted it bronze. My beautiful classmate Mia posed for my artefact!
